I was dusting my office, and a book my Mom had given me passed through my hands.
It had been a while since I picked it up, but it was something I needed to see.
The book is called Walk The World Proudly by Helen Lowrie Marshall. It's not well known. It was published in 1969.
Something occurred to me as I put down my duster:
It's wild to think, but the masses will never know most of the authors of the world. Many of their names are forgotten, or their books sold at swap meets and garage sales.
But, that idea did not stop them from creating at the time they made their works.
I kept thinking. If every creator measured if they would create based on today's standards of "going viral" or collecting followers, I'm sure no one would have labored over their works. It's too much to bear. The thoughts of "Is it good enough?" would have worn them down.
Creating is for the creator first.
Every fresh creation an expression of self and perspective, and as one myself, I can say that deep down, every creator hopes that the joy, attention and meaning they put in their work will find the heart that needs to know it at some time, someplace and connect enough to it to create something of their own.
After this short conversation with myself, I let the book fall open to a page and shared a message with me. You might be surprised that what it shared was right on point for my pondering.
I wasn't surprised because it did just what I'm sure Helen Lowrie Marshall would have wanted: for her work "to find the heart that needs to know it at some time, someplace and connect enough to it to create something of their own."
And here I am writing this post to you. So it worked. Thanks, Helen.
Here's to your own FRESH creations.
See you on the next one!

Ahhh I love this “Begin again, there’s never a time that’s too late to start” 🥰. BEST EVER is the prompt I got today. Best ever brings up so many different things depending on the way you are looking at it. From the perspective of “the best ever” is yet to come. No matter how amazing or great something is, greater is always available. Or
From the perspective that this is the best ever (the best it will ever get and that is it). Kinda like the cup half empty or half full. The best ever can also create stress from the perspective of “I need to make this experience/ event the best ever”. Personally I resonate with the first one “the best ever is yet to come” 💕
